Hi All! Thank you so much for your support! Being an SLP has been my passion and I still love every moment helping others. I KISS YOU ALL - KEEP IT SIMPLE SPEECHIES! I see so many awesome ideas out there, but to be honest, many are labor intensive! I used to be one of those SLP’s who spent hours organizing and planning. My first KISS session is INFORMAL APRAXIA SCREENING. Your child has been evaluated but was too young to attend to the articulation test. You have no info about your child’s sound repertoire. I hope this handout helps you! I often start my assessing animal sounds & exclamations. I don’t wait to incorporate Carrier Phrases into the session, utilizing sounds and words in child’s phonemic repertoire. Please share any questions or ideas you have . I have been servicing students with Apraxia since 1976 and I do read the most current research as well. But I am eclectic and incorporate a variety of strategies in my sessions. Every child has different needs. Please let me know if you think a video will be helpful too.

I created 8 Favorite Speech Strategies That Work (12 pgs) because I wanted to simplify terminology of all the varied approaches! It can get overwhelming at times - it is not cookie cutter either. Every child has different needs. I utilize a variety of techniques and assess ongoing progress. As a therapist, it's crucial for me to explain a child’s motor speech disorder to parents & staff in a way that’s easy to understand—KISS (Keep It Simple SLP”s!).

One other important bit of info about Updated Products - I am often updating my products and so are many other companies! To find these updates….1. Go to My purchases (upper right hand corner) 2. Click on Recently purchased and scroll down to RECENTLY UPDATED. Under View Receipt it will show you date when you last opened the file and date when it was last updated. I recently updated several covers!
