Thank you so much for your support! Being an SLP has been my passion and I still love every moment helping others. I KISS YOU ALL - KEEP IT SIMPLE SPEECHIES! I see so many awesome ideas out there, but to be honest, many are labor intensive! I used to be one of those SLP’s who spent hours organizing and planning.
Here’s another KISS tip for Early Language - You are seeing a child for the first time. You have read the IEP but you don’t really know this child at all. I often spend at least 3 sessions playing with the child. They need to feel safe in this new environment . 1. Observe 2. Write down what you see & hear 3. Create a trusting environment 3. Play & have fun - I put a few toys out for them to choose from, although last year one of my little students was so distracted I put out 1 toy at a time. She wasn’t yet playing with toys appropriately but she loved to stack items! 4. Model Model Model using a calm voice.

I created 8 Favorite Speech Strategies That Work (12 pgs) because I wanted to simplify terminology of all the varied approaches! It can get overwhelming at times - it is not cookie cutter either. Every child has different needs. I utilize a variety of techniques and assess ongoing progress. As a therapist, it's crucial for me to explain a child’s motor speech disorder to parents & staff in a way that’s easy to understand—KISS (Keep It Simple SLP”s!).

One other important bit of info about Updated Products - I am often updating my products and so are many other companies! To find these updates….1. Go to My purchases (upper right hand corner) 2. Click on Recently purchased and scroll down to RECENTLY UPDATED. Under View Receipt it will show you date when you last opened the file and date when it was last updated. I recently updated several covers!
